Artists supporting artists.
The Button Collective is a dynamic creative society that emerged from a community of artists and innovators gravitating around the activities of local arts hub, The Button Factory. Comprised of dedicated creatives, the collective’s members have a proven track record of spearheading successfully funded arts projects.
A shared history of making things happen.
Most recently, this includes a popular series of 24-Hour Arts Marathons, supported by the local board and Creative New Zealand.
Their expansive portfolio also includes Parallel Sounds, in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut; the 3rdSpaces Festival, partnered with the City Council and K Road Association; BLEND, a music collaboration series; and the Living Earth Series, a multidisciplinary arts and culture programme. These are just a few of our members’ ongoing contributions to the local arts landscape.
